I am a 6th Grader in the city of Lakewood. This is my 2nd session as a member of the Girls Who Code Club at Lakewood Public Library. I love Girls Who Code because we get to learn so much about coding and more. When I grow up, I know I will use technology as a veterinarian. I especially like the fun included in being a Girl Who Codes. I hope this site helps you learn about how to code, and if you know how to code maybe you will learn even more or this can be a refresher.

I have been coding and working with data since the 2nd grade. This is my 3rd session as the primary facilitator of the Girls Who Code Club at Lakewood Public Library. I love Girls Who Code because it gives girls an open, welcoming place to learn to be brave through coding. When I'm not helping the girls in the club, I work as a Salesforce Business Solutions Architect (Administrator & Developer/Designer). I hope this site helps you see ways you can learn to code even if it's something brand new to you. Coding doesn't have to be outside your reach - go for it!
I am a senior at Case Western Reserve University. This is my 3rd session as a facilitator of the Girls Who Code Club at Lakewood Public Library. I love Girls Who Code because each member has the opportunity to create something all on their own no matter their level of experience. Julie Strunk is the Manager of Children’s and Youth Services at the Lakewood Public Library. She has worked at the Library for seventeen years and is looking forward to working there for quite a few more years. Julie earned her Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University in 2009. A Library career is the second career in her lifetime. Prior to working at the Lakewood Public Library she was a Product Manager for Finast Supermarkets and prior to that she was a Buyer for Higbee’s Department Store. Julie loves her job at the Library especially when she presents a program and is able to engage with young people. She also loves the staff she works with and is constantly amazed at their creativity. Patrons and staff are the reasons she loves her job.
